Basically, a wiki is a collaborative knowledge-building tool. Only one person at a time can edit a wiki page, but many people can contribute their ideas to the final product. It is one of the social software asynchronous tools that we are exploring in EC &I 832.
The students in EC &I 832 will be divided into three groups. One group will work collaboratively to create a rubric to evaluate a blog, another will do a rubric for a podcast, and the third group will collaborate to build a rubric for a wiki. Prachi and Vi will participate in each group, to contribute to the rubric.
Once completed, these rubrics will be used by Prachi and Vi to evaluate class participation in block 2 of the course. Block 2 participation amounts to 10% of your overall mark for the course.
You are about to participate in a collaborative way to create a group wiki. You may be wondering "what on earth is a wiki?"
First of all please go to the following site at http://www.wikipedia.com and read about a wiki.
